Indian Paint & Coating Association has started an initiative called IPCA Connect, whereby events are designed for small clusters. This format includes technical lectures and general discussions. Being compact it gives members a chance to voice their views freely and share their experiences. It is a semi formal meeting of the members in an area, considering their needs and convenience. This is an idea to bring the members closer and combine their strengths.
IPCA Maharashtra Region held a special event at Satara on 16th December 2018. The meeting was attended by about 20 paint manufacturers. The program started with Mr. Girish Laddha, of Priya Paints Pvt. Ltd., welcoming the IPCA Maharashtra Committee members. He welcomed Chairman, Mr. Manish Nagrecha, Gen. Secretary, Mr. Jesal Parekh, Treasurer Mr. Neerav Shah, Mr. Ketan Kapadia and Mr. Nishit Mehta. Chairman, Mr. Manish Nagrecha welcomed the delegates and spoke briefly about IPCA. He informed that IPCA is one of the leading associations for the Paint Industry in India with more than 1400 members. Maharashtra Region which has more than 400 members has been conducting various events for the benefit of the members.
Mr. Pradip Tambe & Mr. Yogesh Jagushte from M/s. Jeson Industries Ltd., gave a technical presentation about various innovative products from Jesons. They explained the process of selecting the correct product and using it at the optimum dosage. They also discussed the specific products with the delegates on a personal basis. The delegates were invited to Jesons R&D centre to understand the products and also get their product tested. This would help them in getting a formulation tailor-made for their requirements.
Mr. Jesal Parekh gave a presentation on the activities of IPCA during the last 2 years. IPCA has conducted more than 50 events since 2016, which, he said was an amazing achievement. He also introduced the different modes of communication used by IPCA, like emailers, whatsapp broadcasts etc. This keeps the members connected and updated, he said. After that Mr. Neerav Shah conducted an interactive discussion among the delegates who were present. The discussions were on various topics which included GST, government regulations, pollution department norms and general market conditions. Many ideas were shared which can be implemented by individual companies to take business further. Tough competition, Unity of paint manufacturers, up-gradation of technology, the importance of creating a brand and finance management were debated upon. The discussions were very fruitful and gave a lot of insight to the delegates.
Mr Ketan Kapadia felicitated Mr. Girish Laddha for his support in organizing the seminar. He gave a vote of thanks. The committee members were thanked for this excellent initiative and invited to conduct such seminars regularly.
