Sustainability in Resin Industry
This is my first communication to you in the beginning of this new financial year 2019-2020 and I take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy, prosperous and healthy new year.
The beginning of year 18-19 started with the positive growth in resins and coating industries, but the ride was bumpy from the month August till the end of year due to big escalations in raw materials prices from 10-40 percent, the culprit being the hike and down fall in crude oil and dollars prices. Now after the general election dates were announced again, prices are showing upward trends.
Looking at the corporate units in Paints and resin units almost all the units are under big expansion in different parts of country, which shows the positive growth mood.
IRMA in recent past had organised a seminar on “ Pollution Control “ with support of IPCA(Indian Paint & Coating Association ) at Acres club Chembur, to bring awareness regarding implementation of laws on pollution and the remedies to control pollution. We invited technical team from MPCB (Maharashtra pollution control board) to make a presentation. The program was well attended and there were lot of discussions and questions-answers across the tables. I am sure all the delegates were satisfied with the event.
IRMA has now organized a residential seminar on 6th June-7th June at Hotel Fariyas-Lonavala on the series Resins today and Tomorrow- XI with Theme “Sustainability in Resin Industry”. The advertisement of same is appearing elsewhere in this issue. Please note that we have all prominent speakers from the Resin and Paint industries presenting their papers at the event. Any one who is interested in attending the same or advertising in our souvenir cum directory, please contact our IRMA office: firstname.lastname@example.org
I once again wish you all the best.
