ACTI Seminar on Opportunities for Textile students in the industries

ON 31 st January, 2015 at 4 pm a seminar was arranged by Association of Chemical Technologists (India) (ACTI) and Western India Section of Textile Institute ,Manchester, UK, (WISTI) on Opportunities for Textile Students in the Industries at R C Technical Institute, S G Highway (opp Sola Bhagwat Vidyapith). The seminar was inaugurated by Mr Rajesh Shah, President, ACTI, Ahmedabad.

The seminar was addressed by well known Technocrat of the textile Industry Dr N. N. Mahapatra, Vice-President, Business Development, Colorant Ltd, Ahmedabad. He explained in a very simple way to the students about the various types of scope available for them in Textile Industries. He told Textile students can join Production, SQC, R&D, Fibre Manufacturing, Maintenance, Testing and Auditing organisation, Export houses, Sourcing and Innovation Dept etc. After taking 3-4 yrs experience on shop floor they can switch over to Technical Service, Marketing of Textile Machinery, Dyes and Chemicals etc.

Vote of thanks was given by Prof R. D. Joshi. All office bearers of ACTI and the Teaching Faculty of ACTI attended the seminar. Mr Bharat Trivedi, Export Manager, Colorant Ltd and Mr Chetan Mulani, Mktg &Tech Manager, Colorant Ltd also participated in the discussion and answered the questions of the students . Special thanks was given by Prof J.Thakkar.

ACTI, Ahmedabad is the only organisation in India who conducts various technical seminars every month (last Saturday) known as ACTI Day.
