PaintIndia 2018, South Asia’s leading trade show for the global paints, coatings, inks, construction chemicals and adhesives-sealants industries took place at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai from 8th - 10th March 2018. Spread over 34,000 sq. mt. exhibition space, it showcased 487 exhibitors, and attracted a record 17000 visitors from the global chemical industry exceeding last years’ numbers by 27%.
The exhibtion was organized by Exponova Exhibitions and Conferences, a joint venture between Nuremberg Messe, Vicentz Group and Colour Publications. Chemarc.com were the online media partners of the exhibition.
Speaking to Chemarc.com, Dilip Raghavan, Managing Director of Exponova and Colour Publications said, “Paintindia Exhibition continues its leadership of events in India for the coatings and allied industries to showcase their innovations and explain their products and applications to global customers. It is also a great place to network, consolidate old relationships and build new ones”. He added, “We are enthused and excited by the tremendous response to the event and will make it even better in the years to come”.
Many leading global companies like Covestro, Lanxess, DKSH, BYK, Ferro, Heubach, Eastman, Eckart, Brenntag, and Evonik to name a few were present. Leading Indian Companies like Visen, Jesons, CJ Shah, Vimal Intertrade were there too. Chemarc.com spoke to a some of them and they were all very happy with what they were able to achieve in the exhibition. Some felt there was need to do some work on attracting more overseas visitors.
Covestro India had an impressive booth. We met up with Kumar Iyer, Head- Commercial Operations who explained their new offering in the market. Particularly interesting was their solutions for smart cities which is a big priority of the government in India.
Speaking to Chemarc.com business leaders from Lanxess, Nicolai Hutter and Pradeep Kumar expressed their happiness with the exhibition and briefly explained their plans for India.
Chemarc.com also caught up with Natale Capri, Co-Head of Performance Materials BU and Atul Nagarkar, MD – India of DKSH. They were very pleased with the exhibition too and expressed their positive intent of growing their presence in the Indian market.
PaintIndia 2018 grows digital with CHEMARC
A unique feature of Paintindia 2018 is that Chemarc.com, its online media partner, will extend the exhibition experience online. Exhibitors will have the opportunity to feature on the virtual exhibition on Chemarc.com and continue to connect and engage with customers to showcase their company and offerings to global customers for an extended period of time.
The event closed in the evening on March 10, 2018 with a promise to come up with an even better event in the form of Paintindia 2020 from March 12 to 14, 2020.
