PAINTINDIA 2016 ... The wait will soon end!

As our friends and readers go through this piece, we will be a little over a month away from the grand unveiling of the PAINTINDIA 2016 International Exhibition-Conference. The event is now firmly established as the premier one of its kind the world over, and definitely a proud home-grown event for our Indian Coatings Industry to be showcased in its true might and glory on a global platform.
With the consistent success of the event over the years come ever-increasing expectations. We are mindful of this, and have put all efforts to ensure that exhibitors, visitors and delegates alike have a fruitful and meaningful time at the event.

With over 800 suppliers to the coatings, inks, construction chemicals and adhesives-sealants segments (spread across about 400 booths), the event is an absolute must-attend for our community, given the crucial role that raw materials play in our industry. There has been an enhanced participation from the capital equipment and the analytical equipment fraternity too, extending the benefits and offerings for visitors.

We are also paying closer attention to the end-user fraternity at the event, with the involvement of key users from automotive, high-performance, powders and coils. This presents itself in the form of both the Paintshop Exhibition Section and also the accompanying conference modules.

To satiate the appetite of the more technically inclined, we have a host of conferences across a diverse variety of subjects and end-use running as parallel tracks at the same venue. Over and above these we also have for the first time a Congress with leading papers from across the globe chosen carefully after reviewing them to ensure that the best of papers and content are presented therein.

I would like to take this opportunity to warmly invite all of you to be present at the event over the 3 days, and participate in the benefits, the commercial opportunities and the networking prospects on offer. It is a once-in-two-years opportunity for our industry to come together in large numbers and on a meaningful business platform, and help both showcase itself and also create a fertile ground for its continued growth and prosperity.

Do keep yourself updated about the event on our site and see you all in Mumbai from 21-23 January.

PAINTINDIA 2016 - The 100-day Countdown begins ...

Right from our childhood, anything that we anticipate or eagerly await has always been met with a reverse countdown. Be it a 10-second countdown to your favourite television programme, or a 10-day countdown to the start of a vacation. However, as the context gets larger in terms of its significance, we sometimes get drawn into much larger countdowns. This is also the case with our PAINTINDIA Exhibition, which will be less than a 100 days away by the time this piece is being read by all of you.

The event outlay stands firmly drawn up now as we approach the event The benchmarks that we have set for ourselves and are certain to emulate in the form of 400-odd exhibitors (from leading suppliers to the industry) and 12,000-odd visitors (from leading formulators and manufacturers transcending the entire supply chain) at the event, already make for an impressive world-class event.

While the paint/coatings industry has always been the key central element around which the event has been established, the inclusion of the printing inks, construction chemicals and adhesives-sealants segments makes for a larger customer base, who in turn get access to a much larger sourcing pool for their capital equipment, raw material and testing needs.

The strengthening of the Paintshop Module is another feature of this edition. Increasing our penetration into the user end of paints/coatings systems will be a true cornerstone of our service to the industry, and we are working tirelessly towards the same, which is why we are looking at about 40 exhibitors from the paint companies and application segments.

For the first time, we will have PAINTINDIA Congress, where 22 papers from across the globe will be featured after a careful screening and review process to satiate the needs of the technical and research faculty in our industry. There will also be numerous conference modules separated by domain and technology to help specific industry sectors deliberate on latest market and technical trends.

This is perhaps the reason why the PAINTINDIA Exhibitions are today looked upon as the most eagerly awaited and complete events of their kind the world over. From the coatings industry's perspective, all roads will lead to Mumbai from 21-23 January. Make sure you are there too. Be there and be counted!
